Going Live

Lillian’s alt-formWell folks, after more than a month of keeping the “official” ASC site hidden, I figured I might as well just open it up. Sure, the other pages are boring, and there’s no characters section yet, but the comics are being updated almost simultaneously along with the LiveJournal site, so why not?

And here’s an odd little thing: I just realized I had a model of Lillian’s possible Transformers alt-form sitting on my desk all along: a blue new Volkswagon Bug. Let’s hope they keep her a VWBug in the movie version, or the fanboys will be mangry.

Donation Button, and Just When You Think a Name Is Safe

Sunday, January 13th, 2008

For those folks who don’t read the LiveJournal mirror (which would be a rare breed- I think it would be the rare person who reads the comic via this website!) the addition of a donation button (in the sidebar) was originally brought up there and since some people showed interest in helping keeping the comic going by funding either the LiveJournals that make the mirror possible or paying for webspace here, not to mention to pay for art supplies, I decided to go ahead. I’d like to thank anyone who already put in some cash for the Tip Jar. I totally don’t expect it of anybody, but I find it groovy if people do want to donate.

Secondly, I’ve been wondering just where some people have been coming from and I ended up poking around Google with “AntiSocial Commentary” as my search term. It turns out there’s a pretty famous blog that has the same title I had no idea existed! Despite the comic being run on blogging software, I actually don’t follow blogs that much, hence me being totally out of the loop. I’m more of a LiveJournal person, I check out, at most, The Daily Coyote and some art blogs once a day. No lawsuits plz! If anybody wonders the origins of the name “AntiSocial Commentary”, it was originally a name for a brief run of comics mocking Internet culture that I made shortly after the original “Anxiety Cafe” comic. The last surviving one can be found at my DeviantArt account here, which I mostly left up as a curiosity piece, not for so-called humour content. ;)

Until next time, stay soft, pink, and oily!

One Year Anniversary!

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

Computer desk And apparently it falls on the most “depressing day of the year”!

Fortunatly, I haven’t been having too rough a time. My new full spectrum light rocks. Or else I’m having one heck of a placebo affect.

Besides the one year anniversary note and it’s ironic place on the calendar, I don’t have much to say. So check out the sweet set-up I have at my desk. Maaaaan, I have a lot of junk.

Real life Christmas cat

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

Christmas catSorry for the lack of updates the past couple weeks, folks. I don’t really have any excuse other than I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by commissions and such, ’cause I do need them to pay for the more fun things in life. (Like food. I like food. I like Jimmy John’s, which is dangerous, because there is one really close to my house.) I’m trying to get comic strips written out to strip #100, which I honestly have no idea what I’m going to do for. XD

For now, enjoy a cute photo taken on Christmas, of yours truly visiting the closest thing she has to a real life Benny- my aunt’s cat Katrina, whom I’ve known and adored since she was a kitten. Awww.
