…Y’know, as bad as this is for Lil, I can’t help but feel for Ron’s utter awkwardness in trying to be a comforting presence for a friend.

Strips like these and the following are so darn hard. It’s so easy to stick to to a “end with a joke” formula, and I’m so used to it when I don’t really have anything funny to wrap up the comic with, or anything to really to give closure to the comic, I start panicking over whether or not it’s going to work.

Also, the dialogue is from a story written in prose and translating prose to 4-panel strips can be hard. Then again this was hard to write in the first place.
