If you’re one of those people who wonder about anthro animals like Mickey and Goofy keeping pets like Pluto, you’re either a) a furry, or b) you have too much time on your hands.
Unfortunately, I DO think about this for my own story. Errr…well, it IS my story. The “anthro animals” in the comic are treated more like different “races” of sentient beings than “I’m a talking dog!” or whatever. More like “I have evolved from a dog, just as humans evolved from primates (although which one, we do not know!)”
More importantly for you, the audience, it’s a fantasy story with gryphons and dragons and magically animated robots so you really shouldn’t think to hard about it.
