Doing Your Job

It’s funny how what was supposed to be a simple gag strip decided to go its own way.

There’s a lot of social commentary in this comic, mostly negative, as the title suggests. Yet there is also the good. Our two main protagonists would be lonely if not for each other. They both are unknowingly helping each other. If this was when they first met, Ron would never even bother to hold the little robot while stargazing, never mind show her concern about life’s questions to her. As for Lillian…at least she’s allowing herself to be touched.

Like the 50th strip of Anxiety Cafe, this was inspired by one of my comic heroes of yesteryear. For that strip I did a Bloom County take, and this, as you can see from the note at the bottom, is inspired by a particular Peanuts strip. Nothing can replace the classics, ever.

Thanks for reading this silly little webcomic, folks. You’d never know how much your words of support mean to me. I hope I can provide the quality stuff you guys deserve further into the future as the story progresses.
