Ron’s forays into egotism are a result of a childhood spent on the fringes of things. (She was all those things grade school children found horrible- she was well-read, intelligent, a bit overweight, and she had glasses. In fact, she has all those things to this day.) When you spend a lot of time on the outside looking in, you often get a nice, objective, outsider’s view of things.
Ron, like I often theorize about my favourite cartoon lion villian, Scar, or much like myself, really, just got the opinion that most people are idiots.
